XCMG CV123U Drum Roller vs BOMAG BW212 vs CAT CS66B

XCMG’s CV123U is the leading single drum vibratory roller in the industry.

This model is unique for North America, featuring excellent performance, superior efficiency and outstanding reliability. The compact single-front drum roller, weighing 8 tons, and the long-lasting rear wheel are both hydraulically propelled.

The CV123U also features strong driving ability, a safe and comfortable control platform, and convenient accessibility for maintenance in comparison to the BOMAG BW212 and Caterpillar (CAT) CS66B.

Engine

The single drum roller is powered by CUMMINS QSF3.8 with 97KW (130hp) at 130 RPM. The engine’s treatment allows it to easily meet the EPA Tier 4F emission standards. Power is increased by the variable speed cooling fan, reduced fuel consumption, low noise, high-powered radiator, and long-lasting air and fuel filter. The oil replacement cycle alone reaches up to 500h.

Driving Ability

The driving system features a two-gear infinite variable speed, variable plunger pump and piston motor on a closed hydrostatic system on a heavy-load wet drive axle. The system also features anti-slip protection to ensure driving ability under the toughest of environmental conditions.

Compaction Performance

The reliable and long-lasting vibration bearing is supported by a plunger pump and piston motor that constitute the hydrostatic vibration system. The double frequency, double amplitude system at 30/35 Hz makes the CV123U roller suitable for various construction conditions, and strongly competitive with the BOMAG BW212 and CS66B at 30/34 Hz and 30.5 Hz, respectively. The CV123U also features an inner cylindrical vibrating chamber that produces high rigidity and strength

Cab

The pressurized cab meets ROPS/FOPS standards with a large interior space that provides broad vision with reinforced glass and quiet operating system space. With the configuration of the air condition system and air suspension seat, operator’s comfort remains foremost.

Convenient for Maintenance

Need to work on the engine? The roller features an electronically-controlled engine hood opener. The massive opening angle provides an easy-to-reach maintenance area for employees to work.

Customizable

Customers can customize the roller by applying a smooth drum, padfoot drum or a padfoot shell.
