XCMG XE18U Excavator vs Caterpillar CAT 300.9D vs John Deere JD 17G

If you’re shopping for the best earth-moving heavy equipment for renovation, look no further than the XE18U. This innovative machine features a perfectly adaptable design to narrow spaces, from municipal construction to gardening projects. The optimized chassis structure and box-type dozer shovel are more rigid and durable over its competitors: Caterpillar (CAT 300.9D) and John Deere (JD 17G).

Engine

Under the hood of this model, you will find a mechanical fuel injection engine that fulfills National Ill/Euro V/North American EPA Tier 4 emissions. It features green power, energy economy, high reliability and excellent performance.

The XE18U engine features an 11.8 kW rated power, higher than the CAT 300.9D at 9.6 kW and the JD 17 G at 10.8 kW. It also powers a strengthened boom and arm that improves stress carrying capacities and extending service life. Designers make the machine easier to operate with the main power switch arranged under the foot pedal.

Power from the engine and hydraulic system perfectly match to ensure the best fuel economy, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced operating costs. The new hydraulic system provides sufficient oil flow for each working device to gain higher working efficiency

Critical hydraulic parts made with the latest technological achievements lower energy consumption and impact, and advance response time and precise control. So operators can expect to maintain a stronger digging force and work efficiently.

Cab Comfort & Safety

The four-point provides a foremost safe environment for operators. Built-in pipeline and wiring harness increase prevention of collisions and extended service life. The broad vision field increases your eyesight in the work environment, so you can avoid any obstructions.

Convenience & Maintenance

With a split-type driving shed with convenient disassembly, the XE18U can pass, enter and exit low and short obstacles. The chassis features a telescopic function visible when the chassis retracts itself. Car width is 990mm, creating more space than the CAT 300.9D and JD 17G.

The tailless design guarantees free and smooth movements in narrow spaces. Left and right deflection angles are 60 degrees and 50 degrees, respectively. From this advanced design, the XE18U can work with the upper frame to make combined slewing movements and enable the machine to excavate in narrow spaces. The overall bucket digging force of the XE18U tops the CAT 300.9D and is only matched by the JD 17G.

Machine designs guarantee more inspection and maintenance from the ground level with an accessible diesel filter, oil filter, oil-water separator and air filter. It has become extremely convenient for the starter motor, battery and auxiliary water tank to be inspected and refilled.

Without disassembling the hood, you can easily drain liquids (e.g. antifreeze, engine oil, and hydraulic oil) from tank ports located at the bottom of the revolving frame.

XCMG also offers an industry-best warranty that surpasses its competitors.
